WOW! That will preach. It has been a long time since I have heard strong preaching or teaching such as that. This is in contrast to asking God to bless our plans instead we ask Jesus His plans and ask him to strengthen us to obey as we do His plans not our own. This would require me to know what His plan for my life is and to always be on praying ground seeking His face. This is what following Jesus is all about. I have to know where Jesus is going and I go there also. Then I will know I am in Gods good and perfect will for my life and I will always know and sense His presence. Gives new meaning to He will never leave me nor forsake me, because I am on mission with Him going where He tells me and saying what He tells me to say. Again, may not be very profound or anything but “good stuff!”
I also liked the illustration given for God on Mission. It is similar to one I have seen for 2 Tim.3:16, but this is on a larger basis. I like it.

The article was very encouraging in the fact that it brings forward a concept that tends to be overlooked or not consider within the society of our Church. The idea that God has a plan and it involves us shows His favor upon us. It is essential that we respond with complete obedience and submission. I believe this also reveals the design of the relationship that God desires for Him and his people; a personal relationship. The author also addresses some valuable principles to apply to one’s daily walk with Christ. At the end it basically boils down to what Jesus said to His disciples in Matthew 16:24, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. It is simple, let go of my plans and follow after Jesus and His plans.

WOW Need I say more? I guess I had better if I want a grade. That was amazing. It hit me right in the heart. How wonderful it is to know that God desires us to be active with Him in His plans. He wants us to be as in tune with Him as Jesus His only Son was. How many of us are constantly trying to do God's will without truly knowing His will? We can only do His will through His power. This takes us knowing Him on a more intimate level. The chart at the bottom of page 57 is very powerful. If we would really live and respond to God as Blackaby states in this article, we would be able to truly live out the plan and purpose God has for us. The part that spoke directly to my heart was "Learning to follow God's ways may be more important than making sincere attempts to do His will."

Trey hit it on the head with Matthew 16:24. Only when we deny ourselves can we truly follow after Christ. This article shows us how we can be actively involved with God's plans. We are an intricate part of His will. He has made us vessels for His use. The question we must ask ourselves is are we vessels of honor that He can and is using. My desire is to know God and allow Him to shape me into the vessel He has created me to be for His glory.

This article really can be summarized into one scripture verse Matthew 22:37, if we love God then will follow God on His mission. The article was very refreshing to where I was in my walk with Jesus. When we love God with all that we are, inturn He will bless us and ask us to do things that might seem strange, but we do them anyways because we love Jesus. Only when we our sincere with our walk with Christ, can we see how big and incredibly awesome God is and how extreme and amazing His mission truly is.(John Hyman).

Brother(Trey) way to preach it. lol, but seriously. I loved the fact that its as simply as dropping our plans and following Him. It stinks that in our world we as christians sometimes focus on what we want instead of just looking upward to Jesus. I pray that this article would become real to all who profess Jesus. Stop self thinking and focus on God thinking.(John Hyman)xaehwgcr

Whatever God commands you to do you must halt what you're doing and do what God have planned for you. Noah had to be a leader, Moses a speaker, and Paul a preacher in Macedonia. God's mission is priority to anything we have going.

Bro. Hyman good a strong reference to Mat.22:37, because when you love it exceeds the realms of undestanding. You obey and become obediant without question. Your mission may be strange or even uncomfortable, but thats a small sacrifice to bear because Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. No sacrifice or adjustment we make and compare or outweigh his Love for us. I all our ways acknowledge him and he shall direct our path. Stay with Jesus! Stay in the word! Stay in prayer!

John your statement says it loud, let love be the reason that drives us and draws us to Jesus Christ and His mission. Luke 19:10 says that the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. This gives us a clear interpretation that Christ came to seek and to save the lost and His still is doing it today. He has commissioned us that are blood bought to proclaim the Story of Love to the rest of the world.

I really liked the statement, " GOd's mission is to glorify HIs name, to establish His Kingdom and to reconcile the world to Himself. " I think it beautifully sums up this entire article. God has a mission. He wants us to serve with Him just as Jesus Christ His Son did. We must discard our mindsets, worries, and concerns and trust God as He DOES know what He is doing!(Beth M)

Meisha stated a beautiful quote, " Learning to follow God's ways may be more important than making sincere attempts to do His will. " Whether of no we comne across as successfully effective is not the issue. The deal is love God, serve Him, and His will will be accomplished. I love it Meisha :) (Beth M)

Trey, I liked your ref. to Matt. 16:24. I must deny my own plans, my own wants, and my own feelings to seek His plans for me and my life. I never associated those two, good cross. Mark A.
