(Logan)I really enjoyed this chapter. The only part I disagreed with was that he said we always experience a crisis of belief when God revels himself to us. I disagree only with the word always. I believe that we only experience this when it is a sin matter. When God reveals himself to us and shows us something about Him we never knew before, this crisis of belief turns into a time of enlightenment and joy. On the other end of the spectrum a thought provoking statement was when the author spoke about Jesus. One of the very first things Jesus did at the age of 12 was proclaim "He was about his fathers business." Jesus made it evidently clear throughout his ministry whose will he was following. How many times do ministers including: full-time, part-time, laymen, and up-and-coming, lose focus on God's will in their life and start off on their own agenda. We need to really focus on adhering to the Will of God and figure out if what we are doing is for God or for us.

i liked the point in this chapter when the author said, " we can not know Gods will for our lives without knowing him better". We are all called to ministry, and i have found, that the more and more i get closer with God, the more and more i want to do his will, and not mine. Im actually in a situation right now where i am giving up something i love so much, to follow Gods will for my life. Its hard, but if i were put in this same situiation 2 years ago, there would be no way i would give that up.

I agree with logan on the point that when God reveals himself to us, we dont always experience a crisis of belief. only when its a sin matter. i totally agree.

Mission With God

God's mission is to get glorification, establish His Kingdom and reconcile some of every people to be joined together with Him once again. The author says, "God has chosen to reveal Himself, His purpose and His ways, involving His people with Him as He invites all the world's peoples to know and worship Him." I love this article because it is all about how God use people for His purpose and plan. He counts on His humble but willing servants to carry out His mission here on earth. We can look at Noah, Abraham, Moses and numerous other servants that followed God without hesitation and carried out God's plan almost perfectly. However, the one person that did the best and perfect job for God was Jesus Christ himself. Jesus went to the extreme and carried out God's plan so much that He died for us. God wants us to be like Christ and never hesitate to obey but to just do whatever God commands. God's plans are not the same for every person. I know that most people are willing to accept God's calling however it is learning to follow God and carry out His commands that are the hardest. This take faith and trust in God. When the Holy Spirit calls you, you must respond to what He wants you to do. Obedience with hesitation is disobedience.

To the anonymous person's quote: I totally agree with the quote about know God's will without knowing Him better. You are completely correct that we are people that are called by God to do His will but we must know Him more in order to understand him.
